Mine Your Mind - Part One
There is gold between them ears partner! That's right-a veritable goldmine exists in your mind-and when you diligently "mine your mind" you can put that gold to work for you to achieve all you desire.
Life is a state of consciousness yet most people act like they're in a trance, breathing and doing nothing. Don't live on autopilot! Snap out of it and start paying attention to your direction, which is charted by your thoughts and beliefs. What are those thoughts and beliefs telling you? Are they pointing you in the direction of success? If not, think again. Mine for the gold and you can alter your course in a positive and lasting way.
"You are what you think." Everything you have and do is strictly in accordance with your consciousness - as Barbra Streisand wisely says, 'The outside world mirrors what we think of ourselves.' Do you think you are worthy? Do you see yourself as Smart? Successful? Sexy?
Always think of yourself in the highest possible terms. "I am success!: If you are confident in yourself you will have the courage to venture. Having ventured you will succeed. Having succeeded you will become more confident. What happens next? With your increased confidence you continue to succeed. And this delightful cycle goes on and on!
Notice something good about yourself every day and the good will grow. Continue to validate your goodness knowing that with persistence more good is inevitable.
Mind-mining is an ongoing and sometimes lengthy process. Dig, Chip, Sift, Examine, Discard. Repeat. Maintaining a healthy level of confidence requires a strong underlying foundation which can mean a lot of chipping away at negative beliefs. Beliefs are the emotional offspring of our values-suggesting what we are and what we can be-and just like values, they either empower or limit us. I'm sure you've heard this statement: "Whether you believe you can or you can't, you are right." Beliefs should be explored and evaluated. We must challenge the intelligence of our conscious minds to determine which beliefs are positive and empowering and which ones limit our potential for success and happiness. Mining your mind will help break the habitual cycle of limiting behaviors that are guided by any limiting beliefs. Keep mining-look deeper until you've removed whatever is holding you back-that's the fool's gold. Chuck out the junk and keep only those beliefs that serve your higher good.
Often our limiting beliefs are more difficult to address because we have accepted them as unchangeable truths-perhaps validated by negative outcomes. But always remember: it is beliefs that create outcomes, not outcomes that create beliefs. Change your beliefs, change your outcomes.
Belief A: I failed last time so I'll probably fail again.
Belief B: The past does not equal the future.
Switch Belief A to Belief B and you change what you believe is possible for your future. Success is not a secret; it is a system-a positive belief system.
You already have all the resources you need to be a superstar. Mine your mind. Do it with diligence. Sift through your beliefs and discard everything but those precious nuggets of self-worthiness that will drive you to be all you can be-then you'll have hit the mother lode!
Turn your cache into cash. Be BOP!
